2011-02-04 Folded Mulberry flower

2011/02/04

I found the directions to the folded mulberry flower on Becka’s Blog and had to give it a try. She not only gave me the sketch for my card, but a video tutorial for the flower as well. Her gorgeous creation can be found HERE.

The directions were so easy to follow that I gave it a try and it worked beautifully. I rubbed my blending tool across the tips of the rose petals to give it a hint of green so that it would match the rest of the colors on the card. The leaves are a die cut by Sizzix. I added some leaf veins with a stylus and then sponged some darker green ink lightly over-all.

I am sorry, I don’t know who the verse is by. I bought this unmounted piece of rubber at one of my first conventions and I didn’t write the name of the manufacturer on the back of the piece. This was well before I knew how important that might be to someone who was looking for the verse for themselves. If you know who makes this, please let me know. The background bells are by Stampin’ Up from the set called Sketch an Event. I used my Cricut to cut the fancy border. It is from the cartridge called “Holiday Cakes” You can see that I added some seed pearls as accents.
