2019-07-02; faux postage stamps & paper pleated ribbon

2019/07/02

A stamping friend sent me a link to a video on quickly made faux postage stamps. I sat down a few minutes later and literally slapped them together. If you don’t think about it to hard, it goes much easier lol!
Here are the faux postage stamps I ended up with in about 20 minutes of fiddling.

I created a card using some of the paper pleated ribbon and a collage background of torn bits of scraps on my desk.

Here are the layers; I added a sheet of fun foam under the first white mat and the postage stamp is popped up a little as well.

A close look at the faux postage stamp. The glittery looking stuff are some mica flakes that I picked up at the rummage sale a few weeks ago.

And one more look at the card before you go on about your day…

Thanks for stopping by.

What postage cancellation stamp set did you use, please. Thank you.

Hi Janine, the cancellation stamp (squiggly lines) came from an old retired set by Stampin Up called “Letters from Friends” I hope that helps you on your quest.
