2021-09-15; sizing the card to the envelope

2021/09/15

Do you have any odd sized envelopes? I know I sure do. When I buy random envelopes from the thrift store, there is an assortment of sizes. A few like the one I am making a card to fit into today, is really petite!

The envelope in question measures 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″. I had my husband double check the measurement on this to make sure I was getting it right. Then he gave me a quick instructional so I could figure out the card size.

I sized the card to fit the envelope and also allowed myself some extra room for the poofy flowers. It is 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″

The large flower is by Stampin’ Up. I still have these pre-stamped and on hand as I had the Scan-n-Cut cut out and entire sheet the first time I brought it home from the thrift store. The rust colored flowers are by Prima and the leaves a punch and stamp by Martha Stewart. The tiny pine branch is also by Martha Stewart. Finally, the white fluff is cheese cloth and the sentiment was computer generated.

The large corner die cut was made using a Marianne Die. It’s backed with metallic gold card stock.

Thanks for stopping by.
