2021-04-19; Brighter days to come CR57 (13)

Friday nights are a new thing for me. I pull up a chair and watch a craft video game and then play along. This week at Craft Roulette the parameters were

  • Use a sketch that was provided
  • pastel colors
  • rainbow
  • use stencil

It wasn’t until I was listening to the craft chatter that I heard someone say Cricut. A couple of weeks ago when I was trying to do a rainbow theme it never occurred to me to check my collection of cartridges. Bingo! Found one and cut it out of white at 1.5″ from the cartridge Wild Card-2.

Then I headed to the craft desk and colored the rainbow in pastel colors with pastel’s (aka chalk). I added a fixative to the finished rainbow to seal the chalk.

Next I pulled out a random box of decorative scrapbook papers (DSP) and dug around until I found some pastel colors. The butterfly background I believe is from a 4×6 DSP pad called Far East by DCWV. It’s in pastels of pink and blue.

The close view shows that I added some cotton to the clouds and also the texture of the DSP.

The image and sentiment are both from a Stampin Up set called Beautiful You.

Thanks for stopping by.
