2020-10-30; 1-on-1 with Jan; Embossed gold metallic card stock & REVIEW

And this is the final card we made for the day. The time really just flew by.

We made the pretty black background piece and them mounted it using a sketch and some pretty decorative scrapbook papers (DSP).

In order to make this really striking piece, we took a piece of gold metallic card stock, putting it into an embossing folder that had been inked with VersaMark Ink (on the flat side of the folder) and embossed. When it came out it was sprinkled with black embossing powder and heat embossed. The results are what you see here.

In this detail view you can see that we added some faux stitching to the edges and big sticker gems for embellishments.

And one more look at the card…

and now in case you missed any of the projects, here is the REVIEW.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m already looking forward to seeing Jan again next month. For the wintry months we will meet up at her house.

I’m entering this final card into the challenge this week at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge Golden Days of Fall. Although not a fall card the challenge just wants you to have gold on your card. This sure qualifies for that!

i wasn’t visiting any blogs during that period of time but saw the card you posted today (12/11) and referred back to this. It’s lovely! I’d really like to try that technique!
