2018-08-08; What to do with DP you thought you’d never use

A couple of weeks ago with my friend Jan was here she gave me a few sheets of this DP.  She told me she would never use it.  I had wondered too what I could make with it.  Today I took out some no brand tag dies and die cut them out of it.

I still have lots of chickens cut out from our card making day.  So I grabbed them and a tag and put it all together.

I added gold mesh ribbon; let’s pretend it’s chicken wire shall we?

I had some stained up cheese cloth that I cut a snippet of and added for texture.

A sentiment was stamped on a scrap portion (left over from die cutting the tags).

To get the lighter border around the outer edge by the stitching line I masked with post-it notes.  I stamped with a text stamp in gold and dusted with some PearlEx.  I added more color by using a color duster and dusting on Vintage Photo distress ink.  The masks were removed and I added the chickens, ribbon, cheese cloth and sentiment.

I thought I would mail this sample back to the girlfriend that gave me the DP to show her that I had used a piece of it.

Thanks for stopping by.
