2018-07-14; the last of the hand stamped background

A few days ago I made this hand stamped background.  I still had a small piece left and was able to make today’s sample with it.  Most of the texture images are from the Stampin Up (SU) set Timeless Textures.  The flower is a SU image also, from the set Delight in Life.

The card features a different fold.  I cut away the right half of the card and used it for the front flap (mat).  The purple print that you see is the inside of the card.  It’s pale enough that you can write on it making it a decorative piece.

The flower was colored with pastels; sprayed with a fixative; glitter glue added to the centers and then a sprinkle of champagne color glitter sprinkled on top.  Once it was colored, I used a ball stylus to give them shape.  The leaves are a Martha Stewart stamp & matching punch.

I took this side view so you could see the popped up layers and background piece.  The 3-d look should remain through the mailing process as I added hot glue to the reverse side of the flower petals prior to adding them to the card.

And one more look at the card before you go on about your day….

The center (gray/white) piece is a post-it note.   Maggi gave me these a few years ago and I still have a couple left.  She told me she had found these at the dollar store.  I believe she also gave me the gold foil stickers, so thanks Ms. Maggi!
