2018-01-10: 2nd of the watercolor backgrounds

Here are the watercolor backgrounds I made last Saturday (again).   This time I used the piece on the bottom row on the right.

This time I  cut a frame from Elegant Edges (4″)  and framed some no-brand flower dies.

Here is a close look at the  flower tips.  These are Nuvo drops.

Years & years ago, my friend Maggi gave me a jar full of ready made bows.  I’m still using them!  Here is the bow  I chose this time & frame.

To make the background I used Color Burst powder for the blue.  The purple was added when it dried; Distress Oxide.  I dribbled water on the background and then dabbed it up to leave water marks.  I didn’t think I had enough spatter, so I took a drop of acrylic paint and water and added more to the card.

I’ve used 2 out of the 8 backgrounds…thinking what I can do for the next few!  Thanks for stopping by.

I have some of those powders too and haven’t used them in a long time. Your results are all so pretty. The powders and alcohol ink are so fun to work with.

Alcohol inks? I have not had those out for ages!! I know I have to start putting stencil paste on everything for a while as it’s drying up in the jar!
