2017-10-12; Watercolor background & art bliss

I signed up for a swap where the only requirements were to make a watercolor or painted background. It was the creator’s choice into make it into something for their partners; albeit a card, tag, or ?

Using plain card stock, Color Burst concentrated watercolor powders and some gold eye shadow, here is the background I created for the swap.

Working backwards (I have envelopes I need to use up); I cut the watercolor piece down to be matted onto a card for a 6 3/4″ size envelope. Next I went looking for images and a matching color to mat with.

All of the words you see are an inheritance gift from Sonia’s Estate.  The art bliss words are from an unmounted sheet of rubber with the information of “Lenna Lines 8B Text/Word Frames”.  The tiny background text is by Beeswax; this is actually a miniature copy of the Declaration of Independence.

The leaf was stenciled on using the negative space from a Poppystamps die called Large Marianna Vine background. I topped off just one of them with a gold foil sticker. Let’s hope that stays in place during mailing.
