2017-09-18; Paint Swiping & a sketch challenge

Over the weekend I tried the paint swiping technique as shared at SplitCoastStampers last week and made these backgrounds.

I wanted to make a card where the background would be the main visual. With this weeks sketch challenge at Clean & Simple Stamping I was able to let it shine.

Here is a good look at that bottom border. Green crystal gems.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts with some art crackle medium added to create the medallion.

A closer look at the embossing paste, paint splatter, gold eye shadow and dimension of the slide frame. I was able to get the gold eye shadow to stay put by spraying it with hair spray! The texture you see in the painted background is actually the paper used. It’s a specialty paper for Acrylic Painting; I picked it up in the arts & craft isle at WalMart.
