2017-08-11; Blue daisy and hand painted background

Today’s sample shows a super simple background that can be “painted.” It’s actually done by just acrylic paint and pouncing a sponge very lightly. I like how it turned out so I may have to try this in another color sometime soon. You can see part of the finished background at the bottom of the photo. After I sponged the blue paint I added a finish of glossy mod podge over the top. I didn’t want the paint to chip off in transit.

The flower is an image that is mounted on a wooden cube along with 3 other images by JudiKins. I stamped, cut out and then painted with some of the same acrylic paint that I had used on the background.
