2017-06-26; gate fold scrolled border; 1-on-1 craft night with Jan

2017/06/26

The last card of the evening is one that I brought for Jan to make. I had still been working on the Masculine Faux Metal Card and realized we would run out of time. I pulled out the box of supplies and card kit and handed it to her and told her to get started. She is an experienced stamper and had no problem looking at the sample I’d brought and then recreating her own.

The close look at the flowers show that they are a combination of silk and purchased ribbon flowers/bows. In the background you can see that the leaves have been stamped, shaded and molded. One glitter accent was added under the silk flower, a hologram paper that was die cut into a loopy flower.

Here is the gate card opened. Even the inside is a bit matted and decorated.

And one more look at the card before you go on about your day….

Notes of interest: The scroll work is a border die; the butterfly’s are also a border die but for this application I carefully cut them apart so they could fly on their own. The die cut leaves were stamped with a Hero Arts rose leaf stamp. The tiny tag and stamped word “friends” are both by Stampin Up.

and in case you missed any of the craft night 1-0n-1 cards with Jan, here’s the review….

My thanks to Jan for letting me stop by after work for dinner, girl talk and craft time. I loved it!

Hey Ms. Kay, I’m so glad you like it. It wasn’t very hard especially by using the purchased flowers. That made quick work of it! Send me a photo of you’re creation when you get it done? I’d love to see it.
