2016-07-18; Cricut – Small Talk & Create a Critter 2–Christmas in July

2016/07/18

Last week when I was joining in on a card challenge I lost internet service at home. According to my son, the router went belly up. He worked for a few days getting a new router, installing and trouble shooting between 12 hour shifts at work. Thank you Mr. John for getting everything up and running.

I missed the challenge but still have the card to share with you. It was for a Christmas in July challenge. Here I’ve got the card closed so you can see all of the layers folded in upon themselves.

And opened up…and the view a little from above so you can see how the card opens. I added some pine branches (Memory Box die) onto the pop-out part of the card. I can see this design could be decorated for many themes.

The deer is cut at 3″ from the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter 2. I grounded him by die cutting an oval for him to stand on.

The banner, cut at 1″ from the Cricut cartridge Small Talk was hand trimmed so it fit a little better on my card design.

And one more look at the card before it gets put into the envelope for mailing….

I used the same sheet of DP as THIS CARD. It has stripes of different themes running across the page. I made sure the little deer’s were visible as one of the DP backgrounds.

Thanks for stopping by today!
