2016-01-21; Measured ATC
Hello Stamper. Today’s share is an ATC (Artist Trading Card).
I recycled an old file folder that my friend Jane gave me and trimmed it down to 2.5×3.5″. It was painted with gesso; then gold lumiere paint; then pink; then a little more gesso.
I added a snipped apart embossed image (embossing folder by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous) and rubbed the overall piece with walnut stain.
I stamped in both brown and white using two stamps from different sets of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.
I then added some texture paste through a stencil. It’s a wee bit thick, next time I should go a little bit lighter with the paste. It’s gives great texture to the finished piece!
Which brings us back to the beginning. The back side got a bit splattered up with paint so I lined it with a piece of DP and then stamped my name.
I made and photographed this piece before I left for the morning commute. It just goes to show that ATC’s are easy and quick mini pieces of art.
I like how it turned out, but the white ink should have probably been white embossed. Its fading away just a bit. Live and learn.
