2015-10-16; October Shoebox project #4

This cute little pumpkin was a project that I brought for the ladies to make. Whoda thought that a scallop circle could be a pumpkin too? I love Pinterest! It has so many wonderful ideas and this was one of them.

The scallop shape (4.25″), leaves (1.5, 1 & .75″) and sentiment medallion (1.5″) were all cut from the Cricut cartridge Wild Card. Each piece was cut, inked, crimped or cuttled.

Here you can see the sentiment (a $1 stamp from Michael’s) on the Cricut cut medallion. It’s hard to believe with all of the layers in the cartridge that it didn’t have an oval to back the sentiment. To fix that I cut the medallion 3 times; once from orange, once from green and once from ivory. I pieced all of the colors together to form the finished medallion

The leaves (as mentioned earlier) were cut at various sizes, then inked and crimped.

I had an extra day off this past week for a bank holiday and had time to put together a bonus project. Be sure to stop back tomorrow and see that along with a review of all of the cards we made at the October Shoebox craft night.
