2015-09-14; Elegant Edge Butterfly shaped card

2015/09/14

The next card that we made at craft night was this shaped card. I had cut out all the butterfly pieces from the cartridge Elegant Edges. The base card is 4-3/4″ tall and fits into a regular envelope. I also added die cuts from Spellbinder fancy label dies as well as a leaf flourish by Cheery Lynn.

Here you can see it standing on an angle so you can see that we made a top hinge to fold the card open.

Here is a nice front view…I love all the layers on this card.

This die cut butterfly was cut from all the same papers as used on the card base and had 3 layers. I topped the body with crystal gems. The sentiment medallion is popped up on 3-d mounting tape as well.

And one last look before you go on about your day…

Of the three cards we made at our craft night, this one was my favorite!

Very pretty butterfly. I love all the layers and the color. Nice soft color on the dp too!

I can see why it was your favorite, Bonnie – it’s beautiful!
