2015-05-12; Mounted sample from May Shoebox

At the May Shoebox gathering Maggi brought a technique where we used alcohol markers and colored white embossed images that had been stamped onto black card stock. I took one of the pieces and mounted it today. Here is how it turned out.

I used a Martha Stewart border and punched the base and then some red. This was dotted with glitter glue for some sparkle. I added a black strip to the inside of the card so that the front panel would have more color showing.

Here is a close up of the flower that we colored. The image was pretty small to be blending so I used the “pounce” or “thumping” method of coloring. It added some variegation

And one last look at the finished card before you go on about your day.

I have more samples to mount from the May Shoebox craft night; I will be slowly working to get those added to card fronts.
