2015-03-26; Cricut’s Lovely Floral cartridge; monogram banner

Today’s card was inspired by one of the groups that I play along with. The challenge was to use fun foam and die cuts to create a faux rubber stamp. I also used the Cricut to cut the banner, scallop and alpha letter making this a monogram card.

Here is the monogram; I think I love this font! It is from the Lovely Floral cartridge cut at 2″. When I had the card all put together I also added a little crystal effects on the alpha letter.

I took this shot so you could see the stamping and texture. I stamped the fun foam pieces using Versamark ink and then heat embossed using gold. The background I was creating still looked a little blah. I took it to my Cuttlebug and using a Tim Holtz embossing folder, added the checkerboard. I thought the added embossing really livened up the design.

One last look at the card before you go on about your day….

Your foam stamps worked great. I wouldn’t have thought they would.
