2015-03-03; Serene Sunflower 1st try

2015/03/03

I gave my rummage sale bargain a try, Serene Sunflower. I think there is a trick to stamping the sunflower! I will have to practice.

I stamped a sample, added some leaves and the sentiment found in the same set.

I added some old fashioned blow pen Spackle and also lightly sponged around the border of the butter cream piece with Shabby Shutters.

To dress up a plain flat card I die cut some Cuttle bug corners out of Mirrored cardstock (gold) and then attached them with some brass eyelets.

And that brings us back to the beginning. A clean and simple design with some added die cut corners.

I love the sunflowers, Bonnie – they are great! Love the corners, too. I have some in my “card parts” that I’ve been eyeing lately:)

Absolutely love it!!! I don’t think you have to practice with stamping that sunflower……this one turned out great!

Thank you! I appreciate you saying so. I am going to pull this rummage set out again and see what I come up with.

I think the sunflower looks great!!! I’m not sure what you don’t like about it. Did you stamp it while having a mouse pad under it? I have to do that with some of my stamps especially if they have some solid surfaces on them.

I see nothing wrong with these images! Great job, I love yellow flowers! Thanks for sharing!

I didn’t realize I would be able to cut it out easily, but I should say I do like how the stamp image looks, however it won’t be the same thing twice due to the lining up issue I was referring to, Any suggestions?
