2015-02-19; double embossed Flip flop card


One of my stamping friends gave me an original size (thick) Sizzix die for a flip flop card. How fun is that? I had fun decorating it using a technique called double heat embossing. I’ve included the video that shows how this is done below.

Here is the closed version of the flip flop card. I lined it with DSP and added some die cuts.

I used the double embossing technique on the center medallion using the Hero Arts butterfly; the tiny happy hello is by Stampin Up.

Here is the card as it would look open. Here you can see that I added a verse to the inside medallion and a die cut to the back panel.

One more look at the card before you go on about your day…see the dots around the scallop? This is mirrored card stock. I punched out tiny circles and added at each bump in the scallop for some mailable bling.
