2014-12-16 Challenge with the pine branch

2014/12/16

I recently saw a challenge to make a clean and simple Christmas card on the Impression Obsession Blog. I knew I had one (and only one) die by Impression Obsession (IO), a pine branch. So off I went looking for it. The rules of the challenge were to only use their stamps and dies. That explains why I didn’t add a sentiment anywhere ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is what I came up with only using the one die.

I only used one die by Impression Obsession, Pine Branch. I die cut a number of them in different shades of pine green and arranged in a bunch. I glued parts of them down while leaving others loose and curling up. I topped the “bouquet” with a green/gold organdy bow and as a finishing touch added some “berries.” These are actually Styrofoam balls that have been snipped off of the fancy ribbon in the foreground.

One last look before you go on about your day….

All I can say is that I hope the random pick decides to pick me…I would love to be able to choose a few more IO dies!

I love your card, Bonnie! The little balls you added to the evergreen really add a touch of elegance. ๐Ÿ™‚
