2014-10-23 Cute as a pumpkin!

2014/10/23

Today’s card was designed around the poofy pumpkins. They were originally going to go on another autumn themed card, but they ended up not being “right” for it. Not wanting all their glorious poofy-ness to go to waste, I designed a card just for them.

This card is totally frugal. I used scraps, passed on craft supplies (Thanks Chrissy for the ribbon!) and rummage sale finds for every thing on this card.

The pumpkins are by Stampin Up from the set Carved and Candlelit. Actually, these were stamped for me 8-10 years ago by my stamping friend Diane Zachman (aka Papercookies blog). They were sitting in the box marked “fall.” I cut each of them out and then molded them using a stylus. I tucked some cotton batting inside of them to keep them puffy while being mailed.

The sentiment “cute as a pumpkin! is a $1 stamp from michaels. I used a envelope punch board to make the tab it is stamped on.
