2014-04-18 Flattening another 3-d card

2014/04/18

See this chubby rolled rose? It was originally on THIS CARD, made in July of 2012. It stood a full 1/2″ high on the front of the card.

Although I love 3-d cards they are just getting too expensive to mail. So I decided that as I need cards, I will repurpose the 3-d flowers and flatten the design out. In this case the only thing that really protrudes is the rolled rose. So off it came.

I replaced the rolled rose with 3 of Stampin Up’s Petite Petals. I can see a lot of use from this unassuming stamp set as it has a matching punch. Making this a quick and easy design change.

Here is a close up of the bouquet for you. Various punches and die cuts make up this arrangement. The glitter in the center of the new added flowers is just some glitter glue for accent. I do like the tiny circle flowers with the orange gem.

Now to get this card in the mail with a normal postage stamp!
