2013-02-03 Heart Swirled Hugs & Kisses

It may not look like much…clean, simple…but there is lots of hugs and kisses πŸ™‚ Actually I am quite pleased with this card as I used 3 different items I’ve had for a while and never used before. More about that later.

The heart swirl background is by Stampin’ Up and was embossed in red glitter. The front edge of the card was punched so that the inside layer shows through. The verse oh happy day by Rubber Stampede was stamped then die cut with standard circle Nestability and then layered onto a scallop circle. The piece was punched and a red eyelet added along with Baker’s Twine so it swings loosely on the front of the card.

The punch used is by Fiskars. It not only punches but slightly embosses as it punches as well. I added tiny red flower holographic stickers on the large scallop along the border.

And these are most of the supplies. I also used red embossing glitter, ribbon, corner rounder and round and scallop Nestabilities circle dies. Did you guess which 3 items I hadn’t used before?

That would be the large background stamp (purchased at the rummage sale of 2012); The $2 acrylic set by Stampology and the Fiskars embossing border punch.
