2009-07-13 Cuttled Nautical Theme

2009/07/13

I made this for a swap where the theme was to be seaside or summer holiday. In addition, something on the card needed to be “cuttled” (some Cuttlebug element whether dry embossed or die cut). I went with a Nautical theme as I went through my stash and found the piece of note card with the Nautical images already embossed onto the cardstock in a nice Pearlie sheen.

I added I used a nestability rectangly die to dry emboss the base and add the Cuttlebug folder “bubbles” to the bottom. Between the two embossed images I added some Scor-Pal lines to divide the two sections.

Between the two dry embossed lines I cut a tiny strip of matching card stock and glued it in the trough. Then I matted the note card onto teal and stamped the sentiment also in teal (My Heart Stamps for You).

It looked nice but you know me, I have to embellish it with something. So I used my clear shrink plastic to make a charm. I stamped the wheel and then used a circle scallop Nestability die to cut it out. The wheel is also my My Heart Stamps for You and I wrote the word Ahoy in with a perment sharpie marker in teal.
