2009-06-23 just mojo-ing around

When I came home from a weekend away I found in my mailbox a nice letter and some goodies from my stamping friend Sally. Here’s what she sent me….you can see the glittery dew drops on her card and she cuttled the final image. I really like this look, what texture! She also sent me a couple of DSP pieces, and I thought I’d add one of my wrinkle free distress experiment pieces too. It’s the one on the far left. Now what to make with them so I can send her a return card?

I really like doing sketch challenges so I took the DSP Sally had sent me and went through my stash to see what I could match up with it. The sketch challenge that I used for today was Mojo Monday Week #92 and here is my finished sample:

It’s pretty self explanitory…Here’s my list of supplies if you need them:
Cardstocks: Confetti white; Gable Green; DSP
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers by Stampin Up
and embellishments: Green eyelit ribbon; metallic silver thread; wall paper (butterfly); Sizzlets die cut (leafy branch); Cuttlebug butterly die cut; Tim Holts blending tool; crystal gems; crystal lacquer; 3-d mouting tape and Nestabilities assorted dies.

and so you can see the texture on the butterfly I took this shot. It is just a wallpaper scrap that already had texture on it. I also embossed it with the Cuttlebug embossing folder, but it really didn’t need it. I rubbed the raised image with some distress ink. I added some wire between the layers of the butterfly wings…so that when the card is received it’s wings can be fluffed and bent anyway she likes.
