2009-06-21 Wrinkle free distressing

2009/06/21

I was just experimenting with some more of the wrinkle free distressing as described by Tim Holtz in this video called Perfect Distressing. I have watched this one before but I’m not getting the same results at Tim did in the video as I don’t have “perfect pearls.” I have Pearl-X, so I did the best I could.

Here is what I started with

I realized after I made the two samples above that in the video only ONE color is added. So I set those aside and tried one more time. And here you see a finished card using the one color background as the main image piece and also a matted piece of the card.

I have issues with making a non-embellished card so I had to add a couple of punched flowers with crystal’s added to the centers and then a piece of ribbon and metallic thread to the bird. I can only assume she’s off to build a nest with it.

I used stamps by Tim Holtz under the name Stamper’s Anonymous; Wordsworth and Rubber Stampede.

Now I’m off to sign up for the swap I was interested in because I now have a finished card for it.

Found your blog today and as a newby to the papercrafting arena you have definitely fueled my desire to make cards and scrapbook using some the techniques I bookmarked today. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
