2009-06-20 1st try with Thoughts & Prayers by SU

A few weeks ago my daughter and I went to the local Zoo. On the day that we went there was a gathering in one of the buildings of a number of different home party demonstrators. There were 20-30 tables set up. The couple that I can remember names for were Party-lite; and Tupperware. I didn’t even know that there were so many I’ve never heard of before. One of the tables was a Stampin Up demonstrator. My daughter told me I could pick something out of the catalog for my Mother’s Day Gift. I knew which one I wanted right off the top of my head…Thoughts & Prayers.

I found a gallery and just cased away for my 1st card. This layout was originally designed by user name diamondangelfish. I liked her lay out even better because she had a punch that looked like a picket fence, how cool is that?

My butterfly’s are punched from glossy card stock that has been rainbow-inked. I have truly disliked anything I’ve ever made with rainbow inks. All I’ve used from the things I’ve made with it, is to punch something out of the sheet and toss the rest. It’s messy, messy, messy and I guess it’s just too bold for my tastes. This piece has been laying in my scraps of paper box since trying to make a card for a color theme of Pink, Yellow & Turquoise .

I guess I’ll always be a earth element colored person lol!

I used my largest Nestabilities label 3 die; a fiskers boarder punch; Martha Stewart butterfly punch; Cuttlebug distressed lines embossing folder, crystals and ribbon.
