2009-05-03 Glittery Paint Prints (retired)

2009/05/03

Quite a few weeks ago I worked on a folded cone. I had part of a sheet of the shimmery burgundy card stock left so I pulled it out this morning and started embossing Stampin’ Up’s Paint Prints flower (retired) all over the a small piece of it. As best as I can remember here’s the order that I embossed different colors of:
Clear; white; pale pink; glittered red; gold pearls. Then I edged this piece with a gold paint pen. I set this aside and started to assemble the base of the card.

The base is Shimmery burgundy; then a pink piece embossed with the Cuttlebug folder bubbles. To this I added my embossed flower piece and then added some word tabs with brads. The color you see on the word tabs is actually the reverse side of the shimmery burgundy. Next I added a piece of burgundy ribbon. I layered the Nestabilities Label 4 with the words for you (by Endless Creations) with 3-d mounting tape.

Because I only had part of a sheet of the burgundy I actually only made a card front. I glued the card front to a base card of Parchment pink. I took a close up of the brads so that you might be able to see the glitter from some of the embossing powders I used. As usual it doesn’t show up very well, but trust me; it’s really sparkly in person!
