Viggie checking in again with a bit of sewing this time. I got a chance to visit a friend this week for a sewing day. She helped me get started on my first skirt made from a pattern (Simplicity 3827 Pattern D).

I did all the work on my treadle, and even tried a new foot…this neat rolled hemmer.

I’m really happy with the finished product. It turned out just the right length (I like them down to my ankles) and the lightly stretchy fashion fabric paired with an elastic waist meant there was some wiggle room for a beginner. If I got it anywhere close, I knew it was going to fit :D

I love that hemmed foot! I bet that made the project go so much faster
    The finished project looks great.
