2012-11-06 Get well soon in cream & raspberry
Happy Election Day.
Today’s offering is for a stamping friend who has been deathly ill. I received a letter from her sister explaining why I hadn’t heard from her. I am so glad that her sister took the time to send a note. I usually read the notes I get from my friends out loud and as I read this one my husband joined with me and we prayed for healing.
I went to my craft desk and made this simple yet elegant card to send. I embossed the Cuttlebug fancy flourish frame. I measured and layered a raspberry rectangle to fit into the frame then another layer that was stamped with get well and embossed with a Stampin Up texture embossing folder. Really quite easy and relatively quick. The longest part was the drying time for the liquid pearls.
I used one of my oldest flower punches (this one is so old it doesn’t even have the manufacture name on it) and punched a bunch of raspberry flowers and then die cut leaves (Sizzix) and pine branches (Martha Stewart). I just arranged them in a pile.
Lastly I sprayed overall with Gold PearlEx for an all over shimmer.
