2012-01-27 Discarded card part; resurrected

2012/01/27

Today we have a discarded card part that I’ve resurrected. Last month I made THIS CARD. Everything is properly placed on that card because my first attempt (today’s card) was what I felt, a flop. Once I had the first attempt done I had a better feel for placement and tried again. I threw the embossed stamped image into a pile. Every time I went looking for a scrap of white card stock, this piece would surface. In order to get rid of it, I decided to just put it on a card base and get it over with.

It turned out better than I thought. :-) This time around I went with shades of purple and a scrap of white organdy ribbon.

The little flowers are a punch by Punch Bunch that I have shaped and glued down. See the little balls in the flower center? This is actually Styrofoam snipped off of a Christmas decoration. I just added a drop of crystal effects in the center of the flower, snipped the ball off the decoration and placed it in the center. You can also see that I gave the card an all over glimmer. I sprayed it with a mixture of hairspray & Pearl-x.

A clean and simple resurrected card that will not jump to the top of the pile and taunt me daily.

You’ll have to let me know if you think it’s still a flop. ;-)

That little piece was the perfect finishing touch for the card.

Your card is just lovely Bonnie. Love the embossing on the opposing corners. The flower centers are just amazing using styrofoam. You always have great ideas Bonnie. Oh, and by the way this is not a flop none of your work is that way. Nice work Bonnie. TFS!!! :-D
