2009-01-09 Accordian fold birthday card
I’m home in a snow storm (again). So I’ve been sitting at my craft desk for literally hours trying to figure out what card to send to my sister for her birthday. I went through the score-pal site thinking I’d do a new fold of a card design. Before I get too far, here’s the link: Diana Crick’s accordion fold
After reading the tutorial, here’s what I started with

Supplies: (Stamp credits listed below) I used a coral & cream card stocks and basic gray printed scrapbook papers. Coral, hunter green & chocolate chip ink; olive green polka dot ribbon, Cuttlebug circle die cuts; Stampin’ Up’s scallop circle and round tab punch; jumbo olive green brad; crystal effects and your glue of choice. And of course a Scor-Pal to make the score folds.
And the open card

I used the ribbon and the jumbo brad to hold the card closed rather than go with a belly band. When you look at the above card, stamp credits from LEFT to RIGHT as follows:

I actually thought I was picking a brand new fold that I’ve never done before…but after I started I realized I HAVE made the accordion fold before. Maybe next time I have hours on my hands I can look more carefully and try a new design.

Really nice. I keep avoiding buying a Score Pal, but I may have to break down and get one!
